For Windows users, the product is ready to use straight out of the box. Mac users will need to format the drive and select the ExFat format before first use.
When using this product with gaming devices, the process may vary. For XBOX, simply follow the on-screen prompts to install the external hard drive. PlayStation users may initially see a message stating that the file system is unsupported. In this case, navigate to the "USB Storage Device" option in the "Settings" menu and follow the steps to install and format the drive.
It's important to note that due to restrictions imposed by gaming device manufacturers, the capabilities of the external hard drive may be limited. PS5 users can run PS4 games directly from the external drive, but PS5 games need to be transferred to the console's internal storage to be played. Similarly, XBOX Series X/S consoles can only run XBOX One games directly from an external drive.
To protect the hard drive, the product features a patented silicone sleeve that helps absorb shocks and drops.
